Cape May, NJ

Here are some pictures from our trip out east to Cape May, NJ to visit Matt's mom's side of the family.

Here is my Aunt Dottie eating raw fish with wasabi (spell?) Apparently wasabi is really good for your sinuses!

Cape May is known for its Victorian houses.

Here is the bay at sunset.

We took a trip to the Cape May zoo (it's free!). We were unsure how many days of life were remaining for this flamingo.

This is Kara's favorite animal (not Matt, the giraffe over his shoulder)

Here is the beach where we got engaged. We had a picnic near these boats.

Here is the area where we actually got engaged.

We took a picture of our hands after we got engaged so we thought we should take an updated shot.

Here are Matt's grandparents and Aunt Donna playing a game, which is one of our favorite things to do in New Jersey.

Here is Matt's cousin John's son Jonathan (the older boy) and his cousin Tommy's son Thomas.

This is Conner, Jonathan's brother and Isabel, Thomas' sister getting into the cake.

Here is a picture of us with Grandma and Grandpa Ashton at their house right before we left. Notice Matt's cool plaid "vacation" shorts.

Nice pictures Matt! At least the fins and tails didn't show! Wonderful time and great memories made. Thanks for coming. Love ya both. Kara is a real jewel and it was nice to hang out with her and get to know her better. Keep in touch. Love Aunt Dottie In His Grip.

Gram told me to look this up and I got a chance today. I am so glad you had a nice visit with the NJ crew--only wish we all could have been there. I'll check in periodically to keep track of you guys from Chicago.
