Tahoe Trip

We returned from our multiple trips over the past couple weeks. We first went to Lake Tahoe for the first time. It is about 3 hours away. The above picture is from Sand Harbor State Park. This picture almost didn't get taken. The state park decided to close their public parking so we have to find parking up the road on the street and ended up about 1/2 mile away. We walked with all of our beach stuff to arrive at the state park and find out that we owed $1 per person for access to the beach. Normally we wouldn't complain about $2 costs for entertainment except that we had left our wallets in the car a 1/2 mile away (it was 90 degrees). Thankfully a girl who was waiting for her fiance offered to pay for us. We finally found ourselves on the beach enjoying the view of Tahoe.

While we were sitting on the beach the local Tahoe wildlife feasted on our neighbor's cooler contents.

Here is a view of Lake Tahoe from a lookout pointWe stayed at Squaw Valley which was a host city for the 1960 Winter Olympics. This picture was taken near our hotel.

Here is a picture of Matt's fellow residents. Our first night in Tahoe we joined up with them at a cabin that is rented by the residency.

We had a great time hanging out with everyone and vacationing.
