Hiking

Matt has started a month in the ICU. He is at work now and will be spending the night on call for the whole hospital so it's up to me to blog today. He had Saturday off so we were able to get out of the house and relax a bit. We went to a fun cafe/bakery in Oakland called Bakesale Betty's. They have great chicken sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies with that fun hole in the wall atmosphere. Their tables are old ironing boards, which I thought was quite creative! After lunch we headed to Tilden Park for a little hike. It was a bit hotter than we expected, but we had a great time. The picture above is the view from the top -- San Francisco and the Golden Gate. We're still adjusting to the fact that we live here and we aren't just tourists on an extended vacation!
