Thanksgiving Break

This is hopefully the first of many blogs to come. We are planning to get a digital camera sometime in the next month, so that should help! I'm writing in orange in honor of UT's win over A&M (it was ugly, but it was still a win!). We are hanging out in San Antonio with the Harrell/Lunsford family for the holiday weekend. We were originally going to spend it on our own in Houston, but are SO glad that we decided to come here instead! We were supposed to return to Houston today, but we're having so much fun we decided to stay an extra day! We have been watching football (including UT's win over A&M), chatting till late at night, eating VERY well and even found the time to register Chance Lunsford for a 4:45 a.m. wake-up call from Target (we're sure he'll be finding a way to get us back for that one!:)). Thanksgiving was a blessing! We (Matt and I) spent some time in the morning on the front step of the house reading Psalms of praise (it was so nice and peaceful out!) and we ate a wonderful meal and had craft time decorating a little foam pumpkin that will stay around here to decorate the Harrell/Lunsford house for many holidays to come.:) Though it has not been an easy year, we are still reminded that we have MUCH to be thankful for. The simple fact that we have the hope and forgiveness of our loving Savior is reason enough to ALWAYS be thankful! We serve a VERY gracious, merciful and patient God! Matt has tests for 3 weeks starting on Monday, so he will be studying his little heart out when we get back (and has already started squeezing some studying in). Please keep him in your prayers! We hope that you have all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! These are a few pictures that we took this morning out in front of the Harrell/Lunsford's beautiful house (Matt calls it the hotel). The last picture is of Ryan, Janae, us, their brother and sister Chance and Brianna and Josh their step-brother in Napoleon Dynamite T's that Mrs. Harrell got for us (left to right back row: Brianna, Josh, me, Matt, Janae, front row: Ryan and Chance)
