We have bid farewell to Crypto (YIPEE!) and are slowly all starting to feel normal again. Matt is off for two weeks and we kept busy this week with a trip to the Oakland Zoo and hanging out with friends for a little surprise party to celebrate Matt's birthday (which is Sunday). We are supposed to be in New Jersey right now, but had to cancel our trip due to Crypto taking its toll on us. We decided we needed a night away to get a break even though we couldn't do a big trip right now so we decided to take a short drive to Santa Cruz yesterday and stay the night. We had a great time but were reminded that vacations are going to be crazy for a while, though a good kind of crazy! There wasn't a lot of sleeping, but there was a lot of laughing and fun memories with some diapers and "I've been in the car too long" tantrums mixed in! Haddon's highlight was the beach and the marina discovery center. Elsie was a great little traveler and so patient while Haddon explored. We're looking forward to one more week of Matt being on vacation. Here are some pictures of the past couple weeks:
I think I see piano lessons in his future
