Elsie Grace

Elsie Grace arrived home last night at about 9:20 p.m. She was sleeping when she came off the plane and slept most of the way home too. She woke up and played for about an hour when she got home and then crashed again and woke up 3 times during the night, but fell right back to sleep when we rocked her. She is a big cuddler. She is so happy and relaxed. She loves to play but is also so calm and is yet to cry for more than about a minute. She is super chubby and long for her age, and she is also very strong! She is trying to crawl and can hold herself standing against the couch. We are pretty sure she will be walking within a couple months.

Haddon has been a wonderful big brother so far. They met this morning and Haddon started bringing all his favortie toys to her. This afternoon we were out and about and he kept reaching over to her side of the double stroller and patting her knee and trying to fix her blanket when it would start to fall. At dinner tonight she was looking at his chicken drumstick (thank you Wenslawskis - you rock!) and so he tried to give it to her. We're so thankful for both of them and feel incredibly blessed.

We were also blessed to host Elsie's escort with us for the night. She was able to answer so many questions about Elsie's life in Congo and was so sweet. We are glad we had the opportunity to get to know her a bit and hope to stay in touch with her. Here are a few pictures from last night. We will take/post more in the next few days.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers, encouragement, sweet serving hearts and generous gifts!
