David and the Giants

The Rehrers had a very busy weekend blitzing through Matt's last days of vacation. On Friday night, we went to see the Giants v Phillies. The temperature must have been in the 50s as the fog rolled in. Above is a picture of the Bay Bridge taken from the Giants stadium. The whole experience was great. The Ballpark is very nice although Kara's favorite ballpark is still Seattle's as she has fond memories from her childhood days.

As you can probably tell by the picture, we were in the nosebleed section in the left field. The only difficulty was when there was a flyball to left field. The outcome would be a mystery until we would hear the reaction by the crowd.
We went with Kent, Julie and Tyler Dresdow. We have wanted to go to a game with them for a while and are so glad it worked out! We always enjoy spending time with them. We missed Lauren and Will, but the game was way past their bedtime.

Tyler was able to stay awake the whole game although I think this was his record for staying up so far in his 7 year old life.

Here we are post-game. The Giants lost 5-1. We are still deciding whether to adopt the Giants as our baseball team.
On Saturday, we had a visit from our friends the Talcotts with their son David. They had come up to pick apples near Santa Rosa and to see us. We had a sweet time hanging out with them. David is growing and might be taller then Dan by age 12 if he stays on pace.

Don't miss Dan's face in the background of this cute picture of David.
We had such a great weekend. Matt has now returned back to work at the Children's Hospital. Kara is due in under 10 weeks, and life is about to get very exciting and busy. Thanks for everyone for continuing to track our sporadic blog.
